I can relate to being bogged down with paperwork. It so important to take time and put everything into perceptive. Children are the reason why we teach, to hopefully make a difference and to help our community.

Inspiration from Innocence

There was an occasion at my school, in which a little girl was brought in late by her mother. The girl had not yet had breakfast at home and had missed breakfast at school by being late. I rushed to the kitchen and grabbed her a bananna, bowl of cereal, and a glass of milk and sat her at the table to eat while all of her friends were on the carpet with their teacher. I came back into the classroom a few minutes later and there was a little boy sitting at the table with her. He said, "Ms. Shana, I decided to sit here with her while she ate. I was really worried that she would feel lonely sitting here eating all by herself." This little boy is three years old and already had the capacity to think of the feelings of others and to feel compassion towards another person.
